I believe at this point that it doesn't do that if all of the active layout elements take up less than some undetermined area haven't nailed that down yet but a small form view doesn't do it, whereas an automatically-generated Form View of the sort that has all the fields in the table on it does, and a table view definitely does. Since Apple Inc decided that the vintage-MacOS 8-9 ability to grab a window by any part of its windowframe was something we didn't really need, since real Mac users ought to grab a window by its title bar, this means I can't reposition the damn window (or see the status area or retry the zoom button). The window title bar is now the width of three thumbs up above the top of my monitor. The aux monitor is running at 1680 x 1050 whereas the main laptop screen is at 1920 x 1200, so the window dimensions may be larger than the screen real estate can accommodate, so I hit the green MacOS zoom button.ĭamn thing zooms illegally and wrongly to a WindowTop of -172 (just trapped for it, don't know if it shoots exactly that high each time).

I take a FileMaker window and drag it to an auxiliary monitor. FileMaker 10, FileMaker 11, and FileMaker 12 affected (albeit not with 100% consistency).
